What should I include in a travel health kit?
A first aid kit doesn’t need to be bulky or take up too much space, consider potential issues and if you could quickly solve them yourself. Basics include plasters, blister pads, tweezers, rehydration sachets and off course now more than ever hand sanitiser, antiseptic creams and anything to help with keeping the area around you clean.
Can I travel with medications?
Discuss the use of medications with your health care provider before departure and carefully follow the directions for use, including dosage and when to seek medical care. Bring more than enough medication to last your entire trip, and if you need to use needles or syringes, take more than enough to last for your entire trip and carry a medical certificate from your healthcare provider explaining that the needles or syringes are for medical use.
The Managed Isolation Allocation System is an online portal where everyone planning their travel to New Zealand will need to get a voucher that confirms their place in a managed isolation facility.
Travellers – or their travel agents – will need to use the Managed Isolation Allocation System before booking flights to New Zealand. The system generates a voucher once the traveller’s place in managed isolation is confirmed, and the traveller will then need to present their voucher to airlines in order to board their flight.
The system will be available from 8am, 5 October 2020, however there will be an initial one-month grace period before having a voucher becomes a legal requirement. It will become a legal requirement for all travellers arriving in New Zealand from 12am, 3 November 2020.
Below we have some handy information including a Factsheet for Travel Professionals, Frequently Asked Questions and Special Allocation Request Factsheet.
More information about the Managed Isolation Allocation System is available online.
