Q. Will I have to check-in in person?
A. Many hotel chains have implemented contactless check-in/check-out measures, and some have keyless room entry to ensure guests have as small amount of time in public areas as possible. For most hotels you can expect to see front desk staff wearing personal protective equipment such as face masks and gloves, and physical distancing in the reception area to ensure the check-in process is as safe as possible

Q. How will my room be cleaned?
A. Across the board you can expect to see hotels implementing stringent cleanings measures. These will vary by hotel chain but could include reinforced cleaning of high-touch points in rooms, electrostatic sprayers, the use of ultraviolet light instruments and air purifiers. Q. What about public spaces?
A. Across the board you can expect to see hotels implementing stringent cleanings measures, which will vary by hotel chain. Many have also set up cleaning stations in high traffic areas with hand sanitiser and/ or disinfecting wipes, and are implementing physical distancing in public areas.

Q. Can I still order food and/or drinks?
A. Many hotels have had to change their Food & Beverage process to meet quarantine rules around dining. If they are unable to provide room service, they should be able to provide a grab and go option. Q. My preferred hotel is closed, when will hotels start to reopen?
A. Like many businesses, many hotels have gone into “hibernation”. Once demand is expected to return, they will be able to quickly reopen although potentially at a decreased capacity. Some hotels are in a better position than others based on location, brand, cash reserves and staffing decisions during COVID-19.
