The country was due to resume full operations at Princess Juliana International Airport on 1 July. However, due to the surging number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S., all flights to and from the U.S. have been pushed back by an additional two weeks. Flights from Europe and Canada are being allowed; flights from Aruba, Curacao, Saba, St. Eustatius, Anguilla, St. Barts, Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica and the British Virgin Islands also will be permitted to land.

Pakistan International Airlines have suspended flights to and from the UK with immediate effect, following a decision by the EU Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) preventing the airline from operating within the EU.

The airline has announced that it will resume a reduced schedule to most of its U.S. mainland gateway cities from 1 August, when the state of Hawaii begins welcoming travelers who choose to participate in a pre-travel COVID-19 testing program currently being developed. Among the destinations to which daily non-stop flights from Honolulu will soon be resumed are Boston, New York, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, and Oakland.

The U.S. airline has announced that it's set to operate 25,000 flights in August, including those to over 50 additional resumed domestic routes; this will account for 48% of its 2019 domestic capacity in the same month. Although most services will operate from mid-continent hubs in Chicago, Denver and Houston, the airline will also double its daily flight count from New York's Newark. This will place around 90 aircraft back in service and facilitate more flights to mountain destinations such as Aspen, Colorado and Bozeman, Montana.

Passengers returning to Switzerland from regions deemed to be at high-risk from COVID-19 will be quarantined, the country's government announced on 1 July; it will maintain and update a list of affected countries from which passengers must self-isolate for ten days beginning on 6 July. It also said it expected to follow the EU's recommendation to lift restrictions on travel from 15 countries outside Europe’s generally border-free Schengen zone, but would not lift the measures until 20 July —compared to the EU's 1 July proposal.

Airlink have announced that it will expand its flights on domestic South African routes to other inland and coastal cities from 6 July. Among the additional services are flights to Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Upington and Pietermaritzburg.

The U.S. has been confirmed to be excluded from a finalised list of 14 countries from which passengers are permitted to enter the EU’s 27 member, and four other, nations in Europe’s visa-free Schengen travel zone. The confirmed countries are Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay. China may also soon be included if they confirm reciprocity. Although the U.S. is excluded for now, the list is set to be reviewed every 14 days.

In addition to a number of domestic routes resuming, the airline will also in August fly 25% of its 2019 international schedule for the same month. This includes adding a number of services to the Caribbean and Mexico; in Europe, United will boost its schedule to the connecting hubs of Lufthansa Group partners including Brussels, Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich. Resumed Asian routes will include Tahiti and New Delhi, and the carrier also will add five routes to Canada plus 35 routes to Latin America.

The country's government will restrict the entry of foreign arrivals to Brazil for an additional 30 days due to COVID-19 related measures, it said in a decree late on 30 June in its official gazette; the suspension was previously due to expire on 4 July. Foreign arrivals with permanent residence in Brazil or a work permit will be exempt, as will those with Brazilian spouses or children. Passengers in transit to other countries are also exempted, as long as they do not leave the airports.

Air New Zealand has announced that due to Australian government restrictions, the airline will not operate passenger flights from Auckland to Melbourne from 1-14 July. This follows the news that all flights into Melbourne are due to diverted or suspended during this period, due to a spike in COVID-19 cases within the city.

The airline have announced that it will suspend flights on 30 domestic routes hit by persistent weak travel demand due to the COVID-19 pandemic; it is also due to close eight bases at smaller, regional Canadian airports.

The country resumed international flights and re-opened major tourist attractions including the Great Pyramids of Giza on 1 July after over three months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic; on the first day of re-opening, 16 flights took off from Cairo International Airport.

The country's government announced on 30 June that it is extending a global travel ban and mandatory quarantine measures that require most travelers to Canada, including citizens returning home, to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival. The mandatory quarantine is now in effect until at least 31 August, while the travel ban for most other foreign travelers is extended to at least 31 July. Travel by U.S. citizens is covered seperately, and was recently extended to keep the U.S.-Canada border closed to all non-essential travel until at least 21 July.

International flights to Melbourne are to be diverted from until 15 July, as the Australian state of Victoria increases COVID-19 measures. So far, the state of New South Wales (NSW) has reportedly declined to accept diverted flights, which would mean that arrival into Sydney would not be possible as an alternative. Canberra's international airport, however, will currently not refuse flights according to the Australian Capital Territory’s (ACT) chief minister.

Airlines within the Lufthansa Group have published their summer flight schedule through to October 2020, when they will return to over 90% of short and medium haul destinations and 70% of long haul destinations compared to the same periods last year. The group’s core airline, Lufthansa, expects to be operating 150 flights on the U.S. continent each week in summer/autumn via their German hubs in Frankfurt and Munich. Around 90 flights a week are planned to Asia, over 45 to the Middle East and over 40 to Africa.

The Australia-based airline has announced that it will begin a phased re-opening of a number of its domestic and regional airport lounges around the country, following the easing of state-based restrictions and an increase in demand for domestic travel. This will start with 11 of its 35 Australian domestic lounges re-opening from 1 July.

The country's government has confirmed that some nationwide isolation measures related to COVID-19 will remain in place until 23.59 (local time) on 14 July. The measures include the strict restriction of social contact and movement to essential activities only, including the use of private vehicles; just one member of each household may also leave their accommodation for a limited number of reasons. These measures are part of a larger state of emergency, declared on 18 March by the country's president and lasting until 31 August.

On 29 June Ireland entered phase three of its roadmap for easing COVID-19 lockdown restrictions; travel anywhere within the country is now permitted and most businesses can re-open. Citizens must though maintain social distancing guidelines, wear face coverings in a number of public settings and keep a log of their contacts throughout the day to assist with contact tracing.

The country's government has imposed a stringent lockdown on the city of Leicester, a city of around 330,000 people which accounted for 10% of all positive cases in England in the past week. Non-essential shops in the city have closed today, 30 June, and schools will close for most pupils from 2 July. Non-essential travel in and out of a government-designated boundary line is also prohibited.
