The Acting Chief Health Officer of Victoria has declared that all of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory will become a red zone under Victoria’s travel permit system at 11:59pm Sunday, 11 July. This means the Victorian border is effectively closed to New South Wales and the ACT – except for Victorian residents returning on a red zone permit for 14 days of quarantine, and for people with exemptions, exceptions or other valid permits (such as specified workers and cross-border residents).

Travellers from EU and Schengen countries will be able to enter Finland without any additional health safety measures from July 12th. That is if they are fully vaccinated, have had a Covid-19 infection before, were born in 2006 or later or arrive from a country with low virus incidence. Those with one vaccination only are instructed to take a Covid-19 test earliest 72 hours after arrival to Finland, and those without any vaccinations are required in addition to have a negative test result before departure to Finland or a test on arrival.

South Africa will remain at adjusted alert level four until 25 July 2021. All COVID-19 health and safety protocols must be followed, including observance of guidelines for social distancing, sanitation, hygiene and use of appropriate personal protective equipment, like cloth face masks. Additional measures to be implemented under adjusted alert level four: All social, political, religious or other gatherings are prohibited. Public spaces such as beaches and parks will remain open, however no gatherings will be permitted in these spaces. Curfew will be in place between 21h00 pm and 04h00 am. Non-essential establishments are to close by 20h00 pm. Schools will remain closed until 26 July 2021. The sale of alcohol for on-site and off-site consumption is prohibited. Restaurants are allowed to operate following strict health protocols and operating with a maximum capacity of 50 people or for smaller restaurants, 50% of their usual capacity. Gyms and fitness centers will be permitted to operate with strict hygiene protocols in place. Travel in/out of Gauteng Province for leisure purposes is prohibited. If anyone is not in their place of residence at this time, they will be permitted to return home. Travel for business or commercial purposes will be permitted in/out of Gauteng Province as well as travel for transit purposes. Should your travel to/from an airport fall outside of curfew hours, you will need to produce your ticket or travel itinerary to show your reason for travel.

New Zealand authorities have extended its pause on the quarantine-free travel bubble with NSW amid a surge in COVID-19 cases and tightening of lockdown measures. The travel bubble was set to be lifted at midnight on Friday, 9 July 2021, but the widespread community transmission in NSW has delayed its reinstatement.

Quarantine-free travel from the ACT, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria resumed this week but Australian travellers flying to New Zealand will require a pre-departure COVID-19 test. Chief Executive of New Zealand’s Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) Chris Roberts said the tests would cost between $170 and $220 each.

Lockdown has been extended until 11.59pm on Friday, 16 July and this direction applies to people who live in, usually work in, or usually attend a university or other tertiary education facility in Greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour local government areas.

As of July 5, fully vaccinated Canadian citizens and permanent residents can cross the U.S.-Canada border and return to Canada without having to quarantine. However, this does not apply to fully vaccinated Americans.

Emirates’ flights from South Africa will remain suspended until 15 July 2021, in line with government directives that restrict the entry of travellers originating from South Africa into the UAE. Daily passenger flights to Johannesburg will operate as EK763; however, outbound passenger services on EK 764 remain suspended. Customers who have been to or connected through South Africa in the last 14 days will not be permitted on any Emirates flights bound for Dubai.

Lockdown restrictions in Brisbane and Moreton Bay were lifted on Saturday, 3 July 2021 at 6pm. Face mask wearing and gathering restrictions, including visitor restrictions for vulnerable person facilities (hospitals, aged care and disability centres), continue to apply across some local government areas.

Australia's travel bubble with New Zealand will resume from today but only with certain states and territories. Residents from South Australia, ACT, Tasmania and Victoria will be allowed to travel to New Zealand provided they haven't visited a designated hotspot.

Following the President’s announcement of a move to an adjusted Level 4 lockdown and the prohibition of all non-essential travel in and out of Gauteng, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all scheduled kulula.com and British Airways (operated by Comair) from Monday 5 July 2021. We aim to recommence flights from 30 July 2021, subject to regulations being eased, and Covid-19 infection rates, particularly in Gauteng, are contained.

Lockdown in the Greater Darwin Area and Alice Springs ends at 1pm Friday, 2 July 2021. From 1pm there will be no restrictions on the reasons to leave home if you live in Greater Darwin or Alice Springs. Some restrictions remain in place until 1pm on Friday, 9 July 2021.

Lockdown restrictions for the City of Brisbane and Moreton Bay region LGAs have been extended until 6pm Saturday, 3 July 2021. Lockdown restrictions will end 6pm Friday, 2 July 2021 for the following LGAs: City of Gold Coast, City of Ipswich, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, Logan City, Noosa Shire Council, Redland City, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Somerset Regional Council, Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Townsville City Council and Palm Island Aboriginal Shire. Face mask wearing and gathering restrictions will continue to apply in these areas.

Turkey recently deemed Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka high-risk, but allowed passengers from these to enter the country with a 72-hour PCR test and 14-day quarantine upon arrival. However, Turkey’s Interior Ministry issued a circular stating that the country had suspended direct flights from Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka as of July 1 and until further notice. Turkish authorities announced that the nation was suspending direct flights only from these six countries due to the spike of the new variants of the COVID-19 virus.

As of July 19, U.S. visitors who have been vaccinated, have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of arrival or have recovered from COVID-19 in the last six months will be able to visit Ireland and they will not have to quarantine.

Travellers who have visited Brazil, India, South Africa or Turkey within fourteen (14) days preceding travel to Nigeria shall be denied entry into Nigeria. This regulation does not apply to passengers who transited through these countries, citizens of Nigeria and resident permit holders.

To curb the spread of new variants of COVID-19, the Hong Kong government announced yesterday 28 June that all passenger flights from the UK would be banned from flying to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, starting Thursday 1 July. Hong Kong authorities classified the UK as “extremely high risk” because of the “recent rebound of the epidemic situation in the UK and the widespread Delta variant virus strain there”. Under the new classification, people who have stayed in the UK for more than two hours will be restricted from boarding passenger flights to Hong Kong.

From 12.01 Wednesday, 30 June, those travelling to NSW who have been in the Northern Territory, Queensland, Victoria or Western Australia in the previous 14 days, must complete a NSW entry declaration form.

Authorities are reimposing lockdown measures, including an 18:30-06:00 nightly curfew, across Zimbabwe through 13 July due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases. International air travel is ongoing. However, land borders are closed, except for cargo transport and other authorized persons. Travellers must present a negative COVID-19 test obtained within 48 hours of arrival. Authorities may deny entry to people without a test result or displaying COVID-19 symptoms. Travellers arriving from countries with Alpha and Delta COVID-19 variants must quarantine for 10 days and get tested on the first, third, fifth, and tenth days at their own expense. All other individuals arriving must quarantine for 10 days; however, officials will allow those who arrive with a negative COVID-19 test to self-isolate at their designated address.

Effective from 1:00pm on Wednesday, 30 June, Alice Springs will enter a full lockdown for 72 hours.
