KENYA: Country extends nationwide COVID-19 curfew for a further two months

Kenya's president yesterday, 28 September, announced a 60 day extension on a nationwide curfew intended to curb the spread of COVID-19, but relaxed the starting time by two hours until 23.00 (local time), finishing each morning at 04.00. The president also lifted a ban on the sale of alcohol in restaurants and bars.

EMIRATES: Airline set to resume flights to South Africa from 1 October 2020

The Dubai-based airline has announced that it will resume passenger flights to South Africa, coinciding with the re-opening of the country's borders on 1 October; passengers services to the South African cities of Johannesburg and Cape Town will resume from 1 October, to be followed by services to Durban from 4 October. QATAR AIRWAYS: Airline to begin flights to Ghana's capital from 29 September 2020

UKRAINE: Country to re-open borders to foreign nationals from 28 September 2020

The country's government has said that effective today, 28 September, it will re-open its borders for the purposes of tourism, but will continue to operate on a 'red' and 'green' classification system to determine entry requirements based on passengers' country of origin. PERU: Country set to resume international flights from 5 October 2020

UNITED AIRLINES: Airline to offer rapid airport COVID-19 testing to some passengers

The airline has announced that it will start to offer rapid airport COVID-19 testing for passengers travelling from San Francisco to Hawaii from 15 October; this is the first such pilot program announced by a U.S. airline.
