AUSTRALIA: COVID-19 travel restrictions imposed in state of South Australia

The government of the state of South Australia has re-introduced travel restrictions after a new COVID-19 cluster was discovered in the north Adelaide area; among them, the state's premier has said that inbound international flights to Adelaide have been halted until the end of the week. Also announced were a other restrictions across the state including the closure of gyms and sports events, funerals being limited to 50 people, and church services capped at 100. Pubs, clubs and restaurants are limited to 100 people with no stand-up drinking allowed.

ETIHAD: Airline to launch flights to Israel from 28 March 2021

AMERICAN AIRLINES: Airline to trial new COVID-19 passenger mobile app

QANTAS: Airline to resume flights between Australian states of Victoria and Tasmania

The airline has announced that it will resume flights on three domestic Australian routes from 27 November, with 14 weekly return services between Melbourne and Launceston, 13 between Melbourne and Hobart and 12 between Melbourne and Devonport. AUSTRIA: Country implements second COVID-19 lockdown from 17 November 2020

The government of Austria has announced that a second national COVID-19 lockdown will be in place for at least two and a half weeks. from 17 November. During this time, Austrian citizens and residents are urged not to meet anyone from outside their household; in addition, schools are to close and students will learn from home when the new measures come into force. The new lockdown measures, which will see all non-essential shops and services close, including hairdressers, will remain in place until 6 December. Amid rising numbers, Vienna had already imposed a partial lockdown, including a curfew from 20h00 to 06h00, at the start of November.

UNITED KINGDOM: Country's government exempts United Arab Emirates travellers from 14-day arrival quarantine

The UK government has added passengers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to its list of countries exempt from a 14-day arrival quarantine requirement in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. It means that, from 04.00 (GMT) today, 14 November, arrivals from the UAE will no longer have to quarantine for two weeks on arrival in the UK. Alongside the UAE, the UK also added the quarantine exemption for those arriving from Iceland, Chile, Laos, Cambodia, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Bahrain and Qatar.

QATAR AIRWAYS: Airline to add additional destinations to its global network

Qatar Airways has announced that it will both resume flights and increase services to several destinations in the coming weeks. The Middle Eastern airline will fly to Algiers twice a week from 13 November, with nine flights per week to Chicago to follow from 15 November. From 14 November, a twice-weekly service to Miami and 14 flights per week to New York will also resume. Next month, Kiev will welcome three flights a week from 18 December, two flights per week will depart for Phuket from 4 December, and three flights per week for Seychelles and Warsaw from 15 December and 16 December, respectively.

SINGAPORE: Travel corridor with Hong Kong to commence from 22 November 2020

GREECE: Country now requires negative COVID-19 PCR test results from all arrivals

DENMARK: Country places northern regions in to COVID-19 lockdown

The country's government has placed more than a quarter of a million of the population into a COVID-19 lockdown as of 6 November, in a northern region of the country where a mutated variation of COVID-19 has infected a farmed population of minks.
